Advocate Anant Yashwant Bedekar passed away on the 18th of September. He was a trustee of Pathak Trust. He was actively involved with trust activity for last three decades, long before he became a trustee. He was a legal advisor of the trust. He was instrumental in planning and conceptualising the new old age home project that is coming up on the Pandharpur Road site of the trust.
He was born in Miraj and established himself as a renowned lawyer. He had been a director of the National Association of the Blind and was the administrator of the eye hospital. With the association of the NGO Orbis India, he established a pediatric ophthalmology unit in Miraj.
He was a voracious reader with varied interests. He, in his personal capacity, has helped sponsor education of underprivileged children.
We at Pathak Trust held a meet on 20th September to mourn his sad demise. We pray that “May he get sadgati” and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family.
